Two-member motorcycle theft gang busted

LAHORE : Masti Gate Police arrested a two-member motorcycle theft gang based on secret information. The suspects, identified as Mohib Ashraf and Tauseef, were found in possession of three stolen motorcycles, cash, and illegal weapons. These criminals used to steal unlocked motorcycles from markets, crowded areas, and bazaars before fleeing the scene.

Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate Police arrested a robbery gang within 48 hours. The arrested suspects include Muazib Abrar, Musa, and Tarbeer Muazzam.

Police recovered 1.1 million rupees in cash, a pistol, and dozens of bullets from their possession. One of the suspects worked as a cashier in a private company and, along with his accomplices, attempted to embezzle 1.1 million rupees by staging a fake robbery call.

The Mobile Squad, during a routine check at Shera Kot checkpoint, seized a large quantity of drugs. Upon inspecting a vehicle, police found over 10 kg of hashish in possession of a father-daughter duo, identified as Hayatullah and his daughter Ramesha. The suspect was transporting hashish from Peshawar to Lahore using his daughter as cover.

Similarly, North Cantonment Police arrested a drug dealer named Shamoon, from whom 1.5 kg of hashish was recovered. Additionally, Dolphin Squad launched a crackdown against kite flying, one-wheeling, and aerial firing, arresting a total of 25 suspects from various areas of the city. 20 one-wheelers were apprehended from Defence, Mall Road, Jail Road, Bund Road, and Ferozepur Road, while five individuals involved in kite flying and aerial firing were also taken into custody. Police recovered kites, pistols, and bullets from the arrested suspects.
