DUBAI: The kit launching ceremony for the upcoming Chinar Super League (CSL) Season VII was held here Sunday evening, says a press release.
The event featured presentation of jerseys for the 16 participating teams as their captains attended the event. The CSL, an annual cricket tournament for the Kashmiri community in the UAE, has taken its message of peace and environmental sustainability to new heights. The trophy for the league’s seventh season was displayed at the globally renowned Dal Lake in Srinagar, an iconic tourist destination in the Kashmir region.
The announcement was made by Chinar Super League Chairman Raja Asad Khalid during the grand unveiling ceremony. Addressing the media, Raja Asad emphasized the league’s role in uniting the Kashmiri diaspora while embracing the UAE’s spirit of tolerance. He added that the decision to showcase the trophy at Dal Lake was also aimed at raising awareness about climate challenges in the region.
Additionally, a video of the trophy placed at Srinagar’s historic Jamia Masjid was unveiled during the event, receiving widespread acclaim. Asad Qureshi highlighted the league’s commitment to sustainability by unveiling eco-friendly team jerseys made from recyclable materials, minimizing environmental impact.
