PESHAWAR: The Khidmatgar Group won the annual election of the Video Journalists Forum on Sunday by securing six out of 10 seats.
According to the results announced by the election committee, Sheikh Ashfaq Hussain was elected president of the forum with 52 votes while his opponent Nasir Ali Shah secured 31 votes.
Syed Sibtain Bukhari was chosen unopposed as vice president. Nasir Naeem was elected general secretary by securing 65 votes.Kabir Khan was chosen unopposed as finance secretary and Arsalan Tucker was elected joint secretary.
Asif Raza emerged victorious by receiving 57 votes, Shahid Rasool 43 got votes Faizan Qizilbash 40 votes, Aamir Ali Shah 50 votes, and Muhammad Hayat Khan 43 votes.The newly elected president Sheikh Ashfaq Hussain expressed his gratitude to the video journalists for the trust placed in him and pledged to come up to their expectations.
