Islamabad: The Health Services Academy (HSA) has successfully concluded a highly specialized recruitment drive for multiple positions across various categories (PPS 5-11) under the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination’s Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) projects.

This phase of screening tests, involving nearly 10,000 candidates, marks another milestone in HSA’s efforts to modernize recruitment processes while supporting critical national development initiatives. The recruitment drive targeted crucial roles for implementing transformative projects under the ministry’s development schemes, including the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR), Common Management Unit (CMU), One Health Workforce Development and Coordination Towards Pandemic Readiness (Public-Private Partnership Initiative), and remaining positions at the National Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (NiRM).

Each of these projects plays a pivotal role in strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare system, enhancing pandemic readiness, and improving disease surveillance and response capabilities.

The tests, tailored to multiple categories from PPS 5-11, were designed to evaluate candidates’ skills and knowledge specific to their roles. The process was conducted with HSA’s signature commitment to transparency, efficiency, and fairness. Advanced technologies, including Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) systems, ensured swift, accurate grading and quota-based categorization, maintaining the highest standards of recruitment.

HSA officials noted that these recruitments directly contribute to enhancing Pakistan’s pandemic readiness and improving the integration of public-private partnerships in healthcare. They highlighted that the One Health Workforce Development project aims to build a cohesive and well-trained workforce capable of addressing public health challenges, including future pandemics. Similarly, they added, the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response project seeks to improve disease monitoring and outbreak management across the country. They emphasized that the success of this recruitment drive reflects the strategic vision of Federal Secretary M/o NHSRC Nadeem Mahbub, HSA Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan, and the operational expertise of Nadeem Sajjad Kayani, Controller of Examinations at HSA. Their leadership ensured seamless coordination across secrecy, verification, venue management, and security teams, delivering results that exceeded expectations.

The recruitment of skilled professionals under these PSDP projects ensures that critical initiatives like IDSR and One Health are equipped with the right talent to achieve their objectives. This phase of screening not only addresses immediate staffing needs but also supports long-term goals of improving healthcare delivery and pandemic preparedness in Pakistan. HSA Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan remarked that the successful execution of this recruitment drive further cements HSA’s role as a trusted partner for the Ministry of National Health Services in implementing high-impact development projects. By combining modern recruitment practices with a focus on precision and transparency, HSA continues to play a key role in advancing Pakistan’s healthcare infrastructure, he added.

This accomplishment underscores HSA’s readiness to take on larger roles in supporting national development schemes and its unwavering commitment to excellence in public health initiatives.
