PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Tuesday directed officials to enforce the five percent job quota and two percent education quota reserved for minorities.
He issued the directives during a meeting with Dr. Shoaib Suddle, Chairman of the One-Man Commission on Minority Rights, according to an official handout.The secretary of Auqaf and Religious Affairs and other officials also attended the meeting.
The chief minister announced several initiatives for minority welfare, including special training at the Provincial Government’s Service Training Institute to prepare minority children for competitive exams, the provision of solar systems for worship places, and scholarships worth Rs100 million for minority students. He instructed police to establish a special force for the security of minority leaders and ensure foolproof security for worship places.
The chief minister stressed that protecting minority rights and ensuring their welfare were priorities for the provincial government. He reiterated the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s commitment to equal opportunities for minorities in all sectors, acknowledging their role in provincial development.
