RAWALPINDI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday decided to record American journalist Mark Siegel’s statement through video link in the murder case of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
The court directed the Rawalpindi commissioner and Pakistan Embassy in the US to finalise all the arrangements in this regard. The case hearing has been adjourned till Tuesday.
Siegel, a key prosecution witness, was summoned by an anti-terrorism court to record his statement in the high-profile assassination case but he refused to visit Pakistan due to security concerns.
In a charge sheet presented to the court, investigators had included ex-military ruler Pervez Musharraf in the list of the main accused who had conspired to assassinate the former prime minister.
