Bad joke

This letter refers to the news report ‘US announces strategy to combat hate against Muslims, Arabs’ (December 13, 2024). This surely qualifies as the joke of the year, if not of the century. The unserious nature of this proclamation can be gauged by the fact that the US has supplied over $20 billion in arms to the world’s biggest killer of Arabs and Muslims. How can one finance the killings of Arabs and Muslims and not expect hate and prejudice to spread against these groups throughout the world, including within their own borders.
