LAHORE: The training camps of Punjab’s male and female teams got underway at different venues of Nishtar Park Sports Complex (NPSC) on Thursday for the preparation of Inter-Provincial Quaid-i-Azam Games.
Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry visited training camps of Punjab’s football, volleyball, taekwondo and other games.
Talking on this occasion, Afzaal Chaudhry said that Punjab’s 374 athletes are being trained at camps of 15 games under the supervision of expert coaches. “The expert coaches will polish the sports skills and improve their playing techniques at the training camps till December 11.”
He said that all the participants of training camps are being provided best facilities. “Punjab’s all teams have been selected on merit for the mega event of Inter-Provincial Quaid-i-Azam Games”.
The Inter-Provincial Quaid-e-Azam Games are scheduled to take place in Islamabad from December 13 to 19. The training camps of football (male/female) and athletics (m/f) are being conducted at Punjab Stadium.
