Civil engineer murdered in Jauhar flat
A Hindu civil engineer was murdered with a sharp-edged weapon at a residential flat in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. The victim was identified as 34-year-old Rahul Kumar, son of Raj Kumar, a civil engineer who worked on a contractual basis. Kumar was originally from Shikarpur, Sindh.
His wife, who was also present at the apartment during the attack, reported that the couple had recently moved in and had been married for only a few months. According to the initial statement from the victim’s wife, an unknown suspect entered the apartment and had a brief conversation with Rahul before fatally attacking him with a sharp weapon.
The police have obtained CCTV footage from cameras installed at the building’s entrance, which showed a suspicious individual entering the premises. Investigators are questioning Kumar’s wife as part of the ongoing inquiry.
