KARACHI: Zone-II beat Zone-I by two wickets in a thrilling summit clash of the KMC-KCCA Inter-Zonal Under-17 Division-II Cricket Tournament here at the National Stadium Karachi on Sunday.
Zone-I were bundled out for 225 runs in 47.1 overs. Umair Yousuf played a scintillating innings of 101 with the help of 12 boundaries. Shaheer (29) and Hasan (28) were the other leading contributors. Talha Altaf captured three wickets and Abeer Aqeel took two wickets.
Zone-II reached the target for the loss of eight wickets. Jameel Ahmed Bugti (69) top scored for the side. Haider Abbas made 39. Ahmed Farooq snared three scalps and Muhammad Mushfiq took two wickets. Umair Yousuf was declared the man of the match.
