The Punjab government’s move to restrict weddings during the smog season is a good step. Although it feels inconvenient, sometimes it is necessary to make hard choices to protect our health and the environment.
During the wedding season, more cars take to the roads and fireworks can worsen smog because they release harmful smoke in the air. Limiting these activities can improve the air quality.
