ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has felicitated the nation stating that as a result of the party’s struggle, the case against poll rigging is being heard for the first time in Pakistan’s history and he hoped that the nation would soon get good news.
Talking to the media outside the Supreme Court (SC) building after Monday’s proceedings of the Judicial Commission (JC), the PTI chief said that the strategy of its counsel, Abdul Hafeez Pirzada, was going on successfully. He vowed to stand by his stance on organised rigging.
Regarding the statements made by Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, he stated that they should not talk of cartoons and courtiers, but of the serious and the wise.He further said that during the course of the Judicial Commission proceedings, it had been proved that extra ballot papers were printed, most of which were sent to the VIPs’ constituencies.
He said that before the Judicial Commission, the Election Commission and the institutions printing the ballot papers had confessed that extra ballot papers were printed and most of the extra ballot papers were sent to the constituencies of VIPs like Captain Safdar and Hamza Shahbaz Sharif.
Imran said that those people who were saying that organised rigging was not coming to the fore were unable to understand what was going on behind the scene. He added that the drama of organised rigging would come to the fore in episodes.
