55 LDA plots retrieved in Johar Town

LAHORE : A special campaign to protect LDA-owned properties was under way during which LDA teams retrieved possession of 55 residential plots owned by LDA in R Block, Johar Town here on Tuesday.

LDA DG Tahir Farooq had directed recovering these plots a few days ago. Slums and encroachments were established on 55 plots owned by LDA in R Block, Johar Town for the last 25 years.

Tahir Farooq directed that the plots be completely cleared and included in the LDA plot bank.

LDA teams conducted operation against illegal commercial buildings and commercial fee defaulters and sealed 196 properties in different areas, including Gulberg, New Garden Town, Sabzazar, Quaid-i-Azam Town, Johar Town, Upper Mall, New Muslim Town and around Canal Road. The teams sealed 35 properties in Gulberg and New Garden Town, 104 in Quaid-i-Azam Town, Johar Town and Upper Mall, 30 around New Muslim Town and Canal Road and 27 in Sabzazar.

In another operation against violation of parking rules and illegal signboards, the Tepa Enforcement Wing conducted operations on Nazariya Pakistan Road, Abdul Haq Road, UBD Canal Road to Shadiwal Road, Johar Town and sealed 43 properties.
