Imam, Waleed score tons as Quaid Trophy fourth round ends
LAHORE: All the five matches ended in a draw on the last day of the fourth round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy cricket tournament on Saturday.
On the day, centuries were scored by Muhammad Waleed and Imamul Haq and the excellent performance of 6 wickets was given by Muhammad Abbas. Apart from this, Shadab Khan gave a remarkable all-round performance and secured nine wickets in the match as well as hit a half century.
In response to Quetta’s 187 runs, the FATA team was bowled out for 343 runs in their first innings at the Railway Cricket Ground, Haripur. After going down by 156 runs, Quetta scored 118 runs for 8 wickets in their second innings. Arshadullah took 4 wickets in the innings and had 8 wickets in the match.
Rawalpindi got a target of 302 runs to win against Bahawalpur at Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium Rawalpindi. He scored 198 runs for 6 wickets in the second innings. Umeer Masood scored 77 runs.
Earlier, Bahawalpur had declared 392 runs for 7 wickets in the second innings. Mohammad Amar remained not out after scoring 86 runs. Shadab Khan took 4 wickets. He took 5 wickets in the first innings and also scored 54 runs in the first innings of Rawalpindi.
At the Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, Abbottabad, Karachi Whites declared the second innings against Azad Jammu Kashmir on 159 runs with 8 out. Thus Azad Jammu Kashmir got a target of 228 runs to win. They scored 112 runs for 5 wickets in the second innings. Hasan Raza scored 55 runs.
Ashfaq Cricket at Ground, in Charsadda, Peshawar’s team was bowled out for 251 runs in their first innings in response to Multan’s 292 runs.
Multan scored 233 runs for 3 wickets in the second innings. Imam-ul-Haq scored 115 runs. This is his 13th century in first-class cricket.
The Sialkot team was bowled out for 263 runs in their first innings against Lahore Blues at Guwahati Cricket Stadium Swabi. Muhammad Waleed played an innings of 109 runs with the help of fifteen fours and three sixes. Mohammad Abbas took 6 wickets by giving 41 runs.
After the follow-on, Sialkot scored 185 runs for 4 wickets in the second innings. Ashir Mahmood played an innings of 74 runs.
The fifth round of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy will start from November 19.
