PM appoints chief investment officer for IT startup initiative
Establishment division has officially issued notifications for these appointments
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed Nayab Babar as the Chief Investment Officer (Project Director) for the Prime Minister’s Initiative to Support IT Startups in the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications. His appointment is for two years under the special pay scale.
Syed Iftikharul Hassan Gillani, a Grade-21 officer of the Secretariat Group and Senior Joint Secretary, who was awaiting appointment, has been made officer on special duty (OSD) in the establishment division.
The notification for the transfer of Section Officer Naveed Sikandar from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs to report to the establishment division has been revoked.
The establishment division has officially issued the notifications for these appointments.
Meanwhile, the federal education minister, in consultation with the Higher Education Commission, has appointed Lieutenant General (retd) Moazzam Ijaz, Rector of NUTECH, as the acting Vice-Chancellor of the NFC Institute of Engineering and Technology, Multan, for 90 days. The notification of his appointment has been issued.
