The body of a 60-year-old man was discovered in a residential apartment in Defence Housing Authority on Tuesday.
The victim, identified as Ghaniur Rehman, son of Gul Rehan, was a resident of Shah Rasool Colony in Clifton. According to police, the body bore a gunshot wound. Rehman had reportedly been missing for three days. When police tracked his mobile location, they found his phone inside the flat, which is located in Defence Phase V, Tauheed Commercial.
Officers noted that when they called his phone, the ringtone was audible from inside the apartment. The flat was known to be used as a gathering place by some individuals. The police suspect that a dispute among friends during one of these gatherings may have led to the shooting.
