Doesn’t seem this govt will complete its term: Miftah Ismail
Ex-finance minister says incumbent govt has not delivered anything; many from PML-N are joining their ranks
HYDERABAD: Miftah Ismail said that no prime minister has completed his term till date. It does not seem that this government will complete its term because it has not delivered anything
He said that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi told PML-N that it is not our politics that is being done, Is the politics of honoring the vote of PML-N today? PML-N left its manifesto. If Mian Nawaz Sharif had said on February 9 that we should lost the election, this political crisis would not have happened. Many people from PML-N are joining our party, he said.
Miftah Ismail while talking to the media at Hyderabad Press Club said that today I am holding the first press conference here on behalf of Awam Pakistan Party, the PPP government has been in Sindh since 2008, they take votes but do nothing in province
He said that there is a problem of electricity, gas, drainage and infrastructure in Hyderabad, except for Karachi, there is no maintained family park in the whole of Sindh. The Awam Pakistan is determined to end the abuses of Hyderabad. If you look at the past, Pakistan was at the forefront in terms of economy in Asia and became the poorest in 30 years
He said that currently the biggest source of income is hoarding, people should get an opportunity to educate what is going to change and the constitution does not allow any unilateral decision in IRSA. Because Pakistan belongs to all, the four provinces belong to us
Miftah Ismail said that in 2018, when the PML-N government was in power, the water policy was given at that time. No province should suffer deprivation in water distribution, water problem should not be solved by ordinances
He said that the way the 26th amendment was passed in the dark of night should not happen, because an independent and fair judiciary is the guarantor of the protection of the rights of all. They did not give a bat sign to Imran Khan’s party, it means acted with biased and not justice. We want judges who make decisions according to the constitution not by choice, he added
In response to a question, Miftah Ismail said that the PSP and the Istehqam Party were formed for a specific purpose. We did not form the party before this election to go to the people till the next elections. Today, MQM has disappeared from Karachi and people are losing faith in traditional politics
He said that Awam Pakistan is not promising that they will win, but if they win, they promise to will deliver, a new tax system must be introduced in the country, royal expenses must be abolished
He said that since Imran Khan is no longer a favorite, the matter has turned upside down. Late Mushahid Ullah Khan in the PTI government had told that he is seeing PTI tearsMiftah Ismail said that our politicians and rulers have to think, the constitution is a social contract. How can it be changed in the dark of night and the role of judiciary is to make decisions within the ambit of law and constitution.
