Naqvi commends team effort
RAWALPINDI: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi hailed the national cricket team’s series success against England, saying players’ hard work finally paid off.
“They have made the nation proud by winning the series against a tough opposition. Though we have taken a long time we are back to winning ways and hopeful the team will achieve further success in days to come,” he said. Naqvi said that the team unity was evident from the combined efforts. “I have always stressed the requirement of teamwork. The team has exhibited unity and made a combined effort to come from behind to win the series against England.
All team members and entire management played their part in series success.”
Naqvi revealed that the consultation process is on to announce a new captain for the white-ball series against Australia.
“We are about to announce the new captain. All those players who have shown potential will be encouraged. We are also working to finalise central contracts which will be announced soon.”
