LAHORE:Taking a significant step towards modern paperless working in offices, Punjab Youth Affairs and Sports Department has begun a two-day Office Automation System and E-filing course at National Hockey Stadium for the training of sports officers on Wednesday.

All the assistant directors and administrators of Punjab Youth Affairs and Sports Department and Sports Board Punjab were imparted training on the first day of course. E-filing expert Syed Uzair Laiq of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) delivered the lecture to train the officers with the help of slides. Deputy directors and directors of Sports Board Punjab will attend the E-filing and Office Automation System course on the second day on Thursday.

DG Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal, in a statement on Wednesday said that the sports officers are being trained for implementing paperless technology in public offices under government policy. “The two-day e-filing and office automation system course is being organised to increase the capabilities of officers and make them aware with e-filing office working and e-fast procedure”. He said this system will help a lot in improving the capacity building of provincial sports officers. “The modern course is being conducted to increase the capabilities and overall performance of officers and other staffers,” he informed.

Assistant Director Kamaluddin, Mohiuddin, Farhat Ehsan, administrators Mustafa Shah, M Wasim, Abdul Qayyum, Jawad Ullah and other officials attended the high profile course.
