LALAMUSA: A first information report (FIR) has been registered against an Ahmadi family under Section 298-C of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The case, filed at the Lorry Adda Police Station, was initiated after a complaint from the Aalmi Tehreek Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nabuwwat. The accused, his wife and children have shifted from the Doga village to the Garhi Ahmedabad area of Gujrat.
The family was accused of attempting to propagate the Ahmadi doctrine while portraying themselves as Muslims.
According to the FIR, the women were accused of reciting Kalma and making their children learn the Qur’an from a local imam. Section 298-C of the PPC prohibits members of the Ahmadiya community from posing as Muslims or engaging in Islamic rituals.
