IHC summons Pindi, Islamabad SSPs in 4 ‘missing brothers’ case
Court sought report from the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Defence on kidnapped persons
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday summoned the police officers of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad in the four missing brothers’ case.
The police officers who have been summoned include SSP Rawalpindi and SSP Islamabad. The court, while giving warning, remarked that both the SSPs should appear with progress report, otherwise their arrest warrants will be issued.
The court also sought report from the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Defence on the kidnapped persons. IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq remarked such impression is being given that police are colliding. “Where are the abducted persons. Should I issue arrest warrants of SP. Ask him to appear in the court,” the IHC CJ said. He also expressed annoyance at police. The case for the recovery of four brothers who went missing from the limits of Khanna police came up for hearing in the IHC on Monday.

The IHC CJ expressed displeasure over non recovery of missing brothers. “What is pay of an SHO,” the CJ inquired. The police officer replied that maximum it can be up to Rs150,000. The CJ inquired, “Can home be built in F-6 or F-7 within the salary of Rs150,000?” The police officer replied, “No, my lord it is impossible.
