LAHORE:Body of an under-training doctor was recovered from a house in the limits of Kot Lakhpat police on Tuesday.
Dr Shehbaz, a post-graduate student, was found dead in his room in Zubair Colony, Kot Lakhpat. Upon being informed by the owner of the house, police arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and transferred the body to the morgue. Dr Shehbaz's wife and children had gone to visit her parents at the time of the incident.
1,608 held over violations of Sound System Act
Lahore police registered 1,608 cases and arrested 1,608 individuals for violations of the Sound System Act this year. The spokesman for Lahore police said that 484 cases were registered by City Division, 171 by Cantt, 169 by Civil Lines, 359 by Sadar and 204 by Iqbal Town.
