Relocation of centre for special kids opposed

NOWSHERA: A jirga of elders on Monday threatened to launch a protest drive against the shifting of a school established for special children in Nowshera Kalaan.

Village Council Nazim Shah Faisal, Deputy Nazim Malik Wilayat, Nazim Junaid Khan, People’s Labour Bureau leader Liaqat of Khandar and social worker Muhammad Waleed Akhtar said that Social Welfare Department had established centre for the rehabilitation and education of disabled children, at Mohalla Dagikhel in Nowshera Kalaan. They said that the centre was now being relocated by the administration, which was not acceptable to them.The elders expressed the ear the shifting the centre would cause great difficulties for the parents of children, as the new location lacked necessary facilities.
