COAS appreciated praiseworthy role performed by brotherly and friendly countries in economic recovery of Pakistan by helping it in multiple domains
RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir said Friday the naysayers, who strove to create despair and despondency in the society, had been defeated through the collective efforts of all stakeholders.
He said this during his visit to Karachi where he also inaugurated the Innovista Indus IT Park — a hub aimed at empowering the youth by fostering academia-industry collaboration in the field of IT, particularly Artificial Intelligence, and interacted with the business community.
He appreciated the praiseworthy role performed by the brotherly and friendly countries especially China, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, in the economic recovery of Pakistan by helping it in multiple domains.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and notable civil community members attended the inaugural ceremony. Murad emphasized the importance of IT domain for optimal exploitation of youth potential and economic growth.
The COAS highlighted that such projects were aimed at providing the most conducive environment to further promote the growth of IT industry in the country, which was already accelerating at a respectable pace.
Interacting with the business community, the COAS appreciated the contributions of businessmen and entrepreneurs towards the country’s economic growth. The participants expressed confidence and praised the SIFC for its role in achieving the positive economic indicators, which were providing an enabling environment for further economic growth. He also commended the efforts of federal and provincial governments for supporting all initiatives.
He highlighted that Pakistan had remarkable potential in various domains and all must have unflinching trust and confidence in the bright future of Pakistan.
Given the immense resources and potential, Pakistan is destined to achieve its rightful position in the comity of nations, Insha Allah, General Asim said.
Earlier on arrival, he was received by the corps commander Karachi. He visited the Karachi Corps area of responsibility, where he was briefed on preparedness and key training initiatives undertaken by the army.
