Italian CG attends launch of advanced diesel engine

The consul general of Italy in Karachi Danilo Giurdanella attended the unveiling of advanced Italian technological innovation in diesel engines - R24 FPT engines.

The new series is aimed at providing innovative solutions to industries and businesses across Pakistan to reduce their carbon footprint and increase efficiency. The CG congratulated the management of Power Zone for efforts to bring the FPT Industrial - a name synonymous with made in Italy excellence to Pakistan by introducing innovative and sustainable alternate energy solutions.

The FPT Industrial is one of the largest companies in the powertrain sector and part of the Iveco Group that produces powertrains for on-road, off-road, marine and power generation applications. Giurdanella expressed the hope to see active presence of FPT in Pakistan for many more decades to come.

Pakistan’s goods and services trade with Italy have been growing at a robust rate. The trade surplus during 2023 was recorded at $624.518 million against $316.995 million last year.
