Youth rapes unconscious cousin

LAHORE:A 12-year-old girl was raped by her cousin in Nishter Colony when she was in a state of unconsciousness on Wednesday. Victim (F) came to Lahore from Faisalabad to her paternal uncle’s house where her cousin Shoaib administered her sleeping pills and raped her in the absence of the house inmates. In response to the phone call of a neighbouring woman, Nishtar Colony police reached the spot and arrested the accused and registered a case against him.

25 tola gold thieves held

Shalimar Police Wednesday arrested three suspects on charges of stealing more than 25 tola gold from a jewellery shop in Baghbanpura Bazaar. The police recovered stolen items worth Rs 6.5 million from the accused. According to police spokesperson, ringleader Saqib and his accomplices Adnan and Umar would use a master key to enter the jewellery shop and steal the gold. SP Abdul Hanan lauded the police efforts.

Two arrested for raping woman

The SSOIU Model Town arrested two men for raping a married woman. The accused were identified as Zulfiqar and Afzal. The accused had dragged the woman to the fields in Kahna police area and gang-raped her at gunpoint.

Murder suspect arrested

Shad Bagh Investigation police arrested a man involved in double murder from District Swabi, KP. The suspect, identified as Arshad, had killed Ramzan and his son Arslan over an altercation between children one year ago and had since escaped.

16 die on road

Around 16 people died whereas 1,403 were injured in 1,330 accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 578 people with serious injuries were shifted to hospitals, while 825 victims with minor injuries were treated at the accident site by rescue medical teams.
