$225m municipal services project to be launched: Zeeshan
LAHORE:‘Dream One’ project will be initiated in collaboration with World Bank at a cost of $225million and will be completed in 2028.
This was stated by Punjab Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafiq. He said the project would ensure the provision of quality municipal services to the citizens in selected tehsils.
He said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed for starting projects of sanitation, water supply and sewerage disposal throughout Punjab. The minister said that the scheme of municipal services in two tehsils will be completed at a cost of $250million in 2025, while $553million will be spent on water supply and sewerage schemes in 16 other tehsils.
Zeeshan Rafiq expressed his determination that the Dream-II project will start with the support of the World Bank. “The completion of municipal services projects will improve the quality of life of the citizens. Similarly, municipal infrastructure will be built in 141 villages of the province”, he observed.
