LDA operation against illegal housing schemes in full swing
LAHORE:The Private Housing Scheme wing of LDA carried out operations in many illegal housing schemes and land subdivisions here on Wednesday.
Director DEM PHS Asad Cheema carried out the grand operation on the directions of LDA DG Tahir Farooq. LDA teams conducted operations in three illegal housing schemes and land subdivisions and demolished the illegal constructions.
The teams retrieved public utility sites from three approved societies. LDA teams demolished roads, sewers and concrete structures in illegal land subdivision near Canal Burg on Multan Road.
The teams demolished the roads, sewerage and infrastructure of a housing scheme located on Ferozepur Road. LDA teams demolished the entry point of illegal land subdivision on Multan Road and also initiated legal action against the owners for interfering in the operation.
The teams also sealed the office of a housing scheme office. The LDA teams completed public utility and park sites from Phase II and Phase III in three housing schemes. Asad Cheema said that several notices were given to these schemes before the operation. LDA enforcement squad and police also participated in the operation. He said action against illegal residential schemes, illegal constructions and encroachments will continue.
