ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq said Thursday the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir are witness that he has broken the status quo.

Speaking in Geo News programme Capital Talk, anchored by Hamid Mir, he said he has told legislators they they don’t need to table a no-trust motion against him, as all they need is gather over a cup of tea and ask him to leave the office and he will quit.

He said that when he became the prime minister, he focused on three dead projects on which billions of rupees had been spent. The Jagran hydropower project is 95 percent complete. He said Rs7 billion have been approved for a project for out-of-school children.

He said that Rs4 billion have been spent on Mirpur-Islamgarh (Rathuaa-Harrayaam) Bridge project and five billion are yet to be spent. It is hoped that the construction work on this bridge will start in the next three to four weeks.
