40 schools get notices

Lahore Education EDO on Tuesday issued notices to 40 private schools of the provincial metropolis for not following government’s instructions vis-à-vis early summer vacation starting from May 24.

Tariq Rafiq who is looking after the post of the Lahore EDO Education told The News that from Wednesday (today) the district government would be sealing schools violating the government’s instructions. He said only the schools offering O/A Level qualifications were exempted from the summer vacation notification since their students were appearing in annual examinations these days. —Correspondent
