Massive crowds besieged Hasina's official residence in Dhaka on Monday (August 5), leading to widespread looting and chaos in the capital.
Hasina is currently in India, but where she will go from there remains uncertain. The student protests, which began in July, initially focused on abolishing civil service job quotas but escalated into demands for Hasina's resignation after 15 years in power.
