Over 65,000 cops perform duties on 9th Muharram

LAHORE:Punjab Police ensured foolproof security arrangements across the province, including Lahore.

IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar said that on the 9th of Muharram, 1686 processions and 3853 majalis were held across the province, including 194 category A processions and 345 majalis. Over 65,000 officers and personnel performed duties across the province, including Lahore, on the 9th of Muharram.

Police teams remained on high alert, providing a peaceful environment for the citizens. Dr. Usman Anwar mentioned that in the provincial capital, 79 processions and 378 majalis were held. In Lahore, over 10,000 officers and personnel performed security duties.
