Islamabad:On the instructions of Prime Minister's Coordinator for Health Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed Bharath, authorities have put all four public sector hospitals in Islamabad on high alert to ensure the provision of preventive medical facilities during Ashura.
Dr. Bharath directed hospitals to implement special preventive measures in advance of Ashura. The measures include ensuring the availability of all necessary medicines in emergency departments. "Hospital heads have been instructed to ensure all essential arrangements are in place. This includes maintaining vacant beds in a ready state to handle any emergencies that may arise," an official said.
He said doctors and paramedical staff would remain vigilant to provide the best possible medical facilities. "A special emphasis is being placed on the readiness and availability of medical teams."
Dr. Bharath emphasised the importance of maintaining adequate stocks of blood from various groups to meet any urgent needs. He said those proactive steps were being taken to ensure the health and safety of the community during the Ashura observances. "The ministry of health is committed to providing the highest level of medical care and support during this important time," he said.
