Pakistani author honoured

Islamabad: Muhammad Taufeeq, a renowned writer, historian, researcher and humanitarian worker was honoured with the US Supreme Parliamentary award during his recent visit to Texas.

The award was announced and approved by the US Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee which was later presented to Taufeeq by her representative Turab Abbas on June 29 during a simple ceremony in Houston (USA).

“Muhammad Taufeeq has been an outstanding leader for his peers and his community, with a deep commitment to helping those around him; and Muhammad Taufeeq has been guided by important values: love for his family, dedication, and service to his community, and respect for himself and others; and

Muhammad Taufeeq, your selflessness, and compassion towards all those you've served alongside, is truly inspiring. Your commitment sets an example for us all. Thank you for your service and the positive impact you've made on the lives of so many. You are a true hero, and your kindness and empathy do not go unnoticed.

Now, therefore, be it resolved that, on behalf of the constituents of the Eighteenth Congressional District of Texas, I take great pride in recognizing Muhammad Taufeeq for his service to humanity. Mr. Taufeeq has made a lasting impact on those around him through his scholarly writings, global travels, and insightful sports commentary.
