Governor, ex-minister discuss uplift of tourism sector
LAHORE:Former Minister of State for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Mehreen Anwar Raja called on Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan here Wednesday at Governor’s House.
In the meeting, the overall situation of the country and the development of the tourism sector were discussed. Speaking on this occasion, governor said that economic development would bring about prosperity to the country. He said that everyone should play a positive role in the betterment of the country. He said that he was committed to improve the governance and raise the standard of universities in the province. The development of tourist places in the province of Punjab will create employment opportunities for the local people, he added. On this occasion, former Minister of State for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Mehreen Anwar Raja said that there is a lot of potential for tourism in Murree, Kahota, Kotli Sattian and Kallar Saidan. She underscored the need to tap in to tourism potential of these areas to boost economy.
