CDA chairman forms committee for Islamabad's beautification
Islamabad: Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa has constituted a committee to chalk out a beautification plan for the federal capital.
The committee comprising officers of CDA, environmentalists and other professionals will submit its recommendations regarding short-term and long-term beautification plans to CDA's top management. To start with, the CDA chairman has directed for completion of dancing fountain project in Ankara Park within a period of one month.
He also asked the officials concerned to give a plan for installation of a dancing fountain in Lake View Park. Member Information Technology and Member Engineering will submit plans for installation of fountains having latest state-of-the-art technology.
It may be pointed out here that the CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa and ex-chairman Kamran Lashari co-chaired a meeting at CDA headquarters last month with regard to beautification and maintenance of Islamabad. Lashari on that occasion, observed that along with launching new beatification projects, there was need to properly maintain existing recreational places.
