Case registered after PMLN leader receives threats

PESHAWAR: The Tehkal police have lodged a case on the complaint of a local leader of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz who said he had received threats to his life. Arbab Khizar Hayat, a leader of PMLN, told police that he received a call on his phone and the caller introduced himself as Ali.
The complainant said the caller told him that he should not support operations against the extremists in his media talks and social media posts. Arbab Khizar Hayat said the callers also hurled threats at him for supporting operations against militants. Police started an investigation after lodging the case.
