PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department has sent a letter to all departments and institutions to ensure financial discipline during the fiscal year 2024-25.
According to the letter, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet approved the rules and regulations for fiscal discipline.
It said the chief minister may relax the ban on a case-to-case basis regarding the creation of posts. The letter further said that purchase of ambulances, fire-brigade trucks, tractors, buses and machinery as well as vehicles will be banned.
It said that participating in workshops, seminars and training abroad at government expense would be banned. Treatment abroad will also be banned at the expense of the provincial government, the letter said. The contracts of project employees should be extended in consultation with the Finance Department, the letter said, adding that no appointment should be made to fill the vacant posts without the prior approval of the Finance Department.
