LAHORE:Pakistan Railways has decided to operate multiple trains under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to provide better facilities to passengers and stabilise railways revenue.
The trains to be operated under the PPP model include Karakoram Express, Karachi Express, Awam Express, Green Line, Mehr Express, Chenab Express, Saman Sarkar, Mohenjo Daro, Pak Business, Bolan Mail, Thal, Sukkur Express, Marvi, Chaman and Hazara Express, Shalimar, Bahauddin Zakariya, Kohat, Mehran, Attock, Jand, and Rawalpindi passenger trains. Pakistan Railways Chief Executive Officer Amir Ali Baloch said that Pakistan Railways is striving to provide its passengers with the best travel facilities under Public-Private Partnership model. He mentioned that the dining cars have been upgraded, and premium dining cars will be added to Tezgam and Zakariya Express.
