‘Mechanism being devised for use of Sports Endowment Fund’

LAHORE:The Sports Endowment Fund has been established for the welfare of sportspersons and this fund is no less than a blessing for talented athletes. A compact mechanism is being devised to finalise the utilisation of Sports Endowment Fund.

Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Director General Pervez Iqbal stated this while chairing a meeting at the National Hockey Stadium on Friday. Besides operational matters of endowment fund, its legal issues were also discussed in detail during the meeting. Additional Secretary Sports Farhan Farooq, Director Sports Yasmeen Akhtar, Pakistan Wrestling Federation Vice President Arshad Sattar, Tayyab Sohail of Punjab Badminton Association and other officials participated in the meeting. Addressing the meeting, Pervez Iqbal said that this fund will help a lot in tracing fresh talented athletes from all divisions of the province.
