Four robbers arrested after ‘encounter’

LAHORE: Four suspected robbers have been arrested after being injured in two encounters in Ravi Road and Gujjarpura.

A police team had signalled to stop three suspected motorcyclists near Jungle Colony.

The suspects resorted to firing. In exchange of firing, two suspects received bullet injuries and fell down.

Police arrested the suspects. They have been identified as Usman and Basharat. The other police encounter was reported in Karol Pind, Gujjarpura in which two suspects were injured.

They have been identified as Rana Shahid and Rana Shahzad.

Meanwhile, Green Town police arrested two members of a dacoit gang. The arrested suspects have been identified as Shakeel Abbas and Faizan.

Police recovered two pistols and bullets from their custody. The suspects were involved in many dacoity, robbery and snatching bids. Police said they were investigating the matter.
