NOWSHERA: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) has expedited efforts to revitalize the party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by contacting different politicians, sources said.
It was learnt that Samiullah Khan Burqi, a PMLN leader from Tank district of KP met Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTIP) Chairman and former chief minister Mahmood Khan with a special message from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The meeting was arranged in the federal capital.
“Both met for two hours. The political situation in KP came under discussion. Mahmood Khan was offered to join hands with PMLN,” said a source.
Mahmood Khan reportedly said that he would call a meeting of the party’s central committee for consultation on the issue.When contacted, Mahmood Khan confirmed the meeting. He said he would not join any party but cooperation with other political forces could not be ruled out.
