DC inspects ‘Clinic on Wheels’ programme

HAFIZABAD: Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Sundas Irshad praised the Clinic-on-Wheel project initiated by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif for offering free medical services and treatment to people at their homes. She emphasized that this program provides essential healthcare services such as ultrasound, ECG, sugar, hepatitis tests, and more to patients, benefiting citizens.

During her visit to a medical camp organized under the ‘Clinic-on-Wheel’ program, accompanied by the CEO Health Dr. Umer Sharif Rathoor, and the Incharge Programme Dr. Rai Shahrooz Ahmad, she inspected the facilities provided to patients and got feedback from female patients about the program.

Patients expressed gratitude for organizing the free medical camp and offering free medicines.Furthermore, DC Sundas Irshad instructed price magistrates to take strict action against profiteers and ensure the sale of Naan, Roti, and other food items at regulated prices. She also directed them to display rate lists for public relief. Rana Khurram Ejaz, President of the Young Students Federation, emphasized the urgent need to address deforestation to combat climate change and maintain a healthy environment.

He said that Pakistan has lost a significant portion of its forests, with only two percent of the country’s land covered by forests, far below the recommended 25 percent threshold for environmental equilibrium.

Ejaz emphasized the importance of taking action to prevent further deforestation and protect the environment.
