MULTAN: The Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited task force Thursday intensified a crackdown on gas thieves.
According to officials, the SNGPL task force disconnected three gas meters on charges of installing compressors.Another consumer installed his domestic connection meter at commercial property. A consumer was using his domestic connection at a hotel and the SNGPL teams removed their gas meters.
Five consumers were found involved in illegally supplying gas to more than one house whose extensions were removed.A special recovery team of the task force imposed Rs 13,116 fine on a consumer.
