Resident seeks action against officials
PESHAWAR: A resident has asked the administrator of the Auqaf Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other officials to take action against some corrupt officials whom he accused of making a bid to occupy his property illegally.
Speaking at a press conference, Nasir Qureshi alleged that some officials of the Auqaf Department wanted to occupy his plot which was registered in his name for the last more than 25 years. He alleged that the officials were threatening his family and using the police to harass his watchman.
The resident alleged that these officials had already occupied a plot from his family forcibly earlier.He said that when he approached the court, these officials threatened his family to stop appearing in the court.
However, he said, this time he would not let this “mafia” deprive him of his property. Nasir Qureshi requested the government to provide security to his family against this alleged mafia and take action against the officials who he alleged were corrupt.
