ISLAMABAD: Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Ahmad al-Maliki has promised massive support for the federal capital police and its associate law-enforcement agencies (LEAs), including arrangements for their proper accommodation.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Saudi embassy here on Saturday and discussed with the ambassador matters of mutual interest, Pak-Saudi relations and cooperation in various fields. The interior ministry said the Saudi ambassador welcomed the interior minister at the embassy. The minister thanked the Saudi Arabia ambassador for arranging for accommodation of Frontier Constabulary (FC) officials attached with the federal capital police to strengthen the security of the sensitive buildings.
The two sides also discussed Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s upcoming visit to Pakistan.
Naqvi said the historic brotherly friendship of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan was turning into the most beneficial economic relationship now. He said the recent visit of Saudi Arabia’s investors to Pakistan remained very successful. He said the people of Pakistan were waiting for the visit of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as he lives in their hearts.
The interior minister said the visit of Saudi crown prince would prove a game-changer in relations between the two countries, because Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan in every difficult time. In the present era, relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are reaching new heights, added Mohsin Naqvi.
Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Ahmad al-Maliki assured that he would do everything possible to build the Islamabad police on modern lines. He said that Saudi Arabia attached great importance to its relations with Pakistan.
