Two siblings drown in canal

LAHORE:Two brothers drowned in canal near Sundar on Friday. Seven-year-old Kamran Manzoor and his elder brother were moving on a motorcycle on Canal Road in Salam Nagar village and near Sundar their motorcycle slipped and fell into the canal. As a result, they both drowned. Rescue teams reached the spot and recovered the body of Kamran. Efforts are underway to search the other body.

Two bike lifters arrested

North Cantonment Police has arrested two members of Waheed Motorbike lifting gang. The arrested suspects were identified as Waheed and Nadeem. Police recovered two motorbikes, cash, pistol and bullets from their custody. The suspects would target bikes parked in parking lots outside parking plazas and streets. Many cases have been traced to them.

Accused held over harassing woman

A man was arrested on allegations of harassing a woman near Ravi Road on Friday. The accused and his accomplices tried to stop the car of a woman near Ravi Road. The victim told the police that the accused parked their motorcycle near the gate of her car and knocked at the window pane of her car.

The woman sought help from police using the "chat feature" of the Women Safety App. The Virtual Women Police Station immediately dispatched cops to the scene. The accused were identified through Safe City cameras. The police filed an FIR against the accused and arrested one of the accused.

Man stabs, injures his neighbour

A man, frustrated over pursuing a case, stabbed and injured his neighbour in Race Course area on Friday. Reportedly, the suspect Imran alias Bhola had a dispute with the victim Javed Siddique, his neighbour and a case was also being contested between both in the court.

The suspect Imran was so frustrated that on the day of the incident he stabbed the victim with an intention to murder him with a sharp edged knife. The victim received serious injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital. Police has arrested the suspect and were investigating the matter further.
