Spring gala blooms at IIUI
Islamabad:A vibrant display of international culture and youthful energy unfolded at the International Islamic University (IIUI) female campus this week with the inauguration of the annual Spring Gala.
Prof. Dr. Samina Malik, Rector of IIUI, officially opened the festivities, joined by female students from over 30 countries. The gala boasts a diverse range of competitions, from sports like cricket and badminton to artistic showcases in Hifz (Quran memorization), naat (poetry), and photography.
Prof. Dr. Malik emphasized the importance of such events, stating, "Encouragement of women's participation in sports and co-curricular activities is our top priority." The gala not only fosters cultural exchange but empowers female students through entrepreneurship opportunities, with stalls representing various Pakistani provinces and international cultures like Saudi Arabia and Indonesia. The Spring Gala continues today, offering a platform for female students to showcase their talents and build bridges across nations.
