Haj operation facilities reviewed at Karachi airport
The director of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Karachi Zone, Zaim Iqbal, visited Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Wednesday to oversee the Haj Operation 2024.
Officials reported that the FIA director for Karachi Zone held meetings with airport officials, during which he received a briefing on the ongoing Haj operation. Additionally, he reviewed the road to Makkah operation and was briefed on immigration departure procedures and cam scanner operations.
Furthermore, special instructions were issued to immigration staff to ensure the provision of exemplary services to pilgrims. Special counters were to be operated during Haj flights, and the immigration clearance process was to be streamlined.
The FIA director also directed immigration officials at the airport to ensure that senior citizens embarking on their religious journey received the best facilities available. It was emphasised that immigration officers must be present during all stages of Haj operations.
