ISLAMABAD: The federal government has appointed Zulfiqar Haider as new Secretary of Ministry of Religious Affairs with immediate effect.
A BS-22 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), Zulfiqar Haider was OSD at the Establishment division. Previously, the charge of Secretary Religious Affairs was given to Additional Secretary Syed Attaur Rehman for a period of three months which ended on 30th of last month.
Meanwhile, Raheem Hayat Qureshi, a BPS-21 officer of Foreign Service has been posted as Secretary Board of Investment (BOI), He was serving as Additional Secretary in Ministry of Religious Affairs. The Prime Minister has approved extension in contract period of Digital Media Consultant in Ministry of Information, Ms Maria Taimur for one year.
